Go the the Advanced tab, under Onboard Devices Configuration you want to Disable the HDA Controller — High Definition Audio Controller. Now return to the top menu and navigate to Exit; pressing F10 will save your changes and exit you from BIOS. Your system will reboot.

Let Windows start and check Device Manager to make sure the audio adapter is not installed. Again, power off your machine, unplug it and physically install the new audio card. Make sure the card is firmly seated in the slot. The PCI slots (there’s two) are the very bottom and third from the bottom slots — in the newegg picture they were the light blue slots. Button-up the case, re-attach all cables and speakers and start Windows. Hopefully when Windows detects the new device it gives you the option of cancelling. It not, let Windows find the generic drivers, if available. When Windows gets done, you can run the new drivers setup; when it completes you should have your sound card working properly ; )
