Recently I’ve started getting the following exceptions. Seems like some links have been removed by Microsoft. The logs indicates the following file has failed download. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Jalpa, but Web Platform Installer does install Visual C++ Redistributable successfully and more over I’m not sure how the below which is basically a broken download link will be resolved by installing Visual C++ Redistributable?

I was doing same thing today and was failing. The problem was previous version of Windows fabric present on my machine. I uninstalled it from control panel and then it worked. Also check you have latest version of 2012 C++ redistributable. I am having (11.0.61030)

Also check if there is any previous version of service bus installed and remove it.

I installed the another component of Service bus 1.1 with TLS 1.2 support. It will install service bus 1.1 This is the latest component I can see.

Get a feeling the Service Bus 1.1 is unsupported now and we have to move to 1.1 With TLS 1.2 support

I checked into this — the entry was removed from the download center (no longer available for customers). I’ll work on getting the WebPI entry removed so users don’t hit the install failures going forward

So to be clear can we still use the Service Bus 1.1 or that whole package is not available and we have to move to Server Bus 1.1 with TLS 1.2 Support?

I had to pull out a base entry that was retired. That caused a set of parent entries to be removed. That new feed is posted, but I’m not 100% sure if the SB 1.1 with TLS is still there. You can check the feed later today and try it. As for any product specific functional issues, that’s totally outside my area

At this point, no — the Service Bus installers had downlevel dependencies on deprecated items. I may be able to try to bring some stuff back, but I can’t make any promises

Do you remember/know the specific product you are looking for?

Ok, so that’s the Windows Azure Pack: Service Bus 1.1, correct? If so, that product is dependent on «Windows Fabric» and THAT’S the product that no longer exists on the download center

I’ll have to ask around to see if bringing the download online is something that can be done

Thanks for the quick responses. We have production workloads running with the Service Bus and they will be in trouble when they look to build a new service bus node, and I’m not aware of any other mechanism to install Service Bus.

So from the latest look, there is a Service 1.1 with TLS Support that could be brought back. But that’s likely the only one from what I can see.

I have found the WindowsFabricCU1.1.0.976.0.msp, which can be installed separately. The WPI then wont try to find that dependency. Does that short term workaround suit your needs?

Obviously medium term we need to move towards the later TLS1.2 Support version but for us that will need testing.

I’ve restored SB 1.1 with TLS Support — I’d ask that folks verify it installs correctly/etc (I can only easily verify the feed itself loads and I have all the proper products available — I can’t validate download links/etc)

As for specific product guidance, I can only direct you to the online MSFT communities for input on installations and usage. WebPI is just a vehicle for installs and doesn’t get involved in the lifecycle/guidance of the individual products it installs

So this unfortunately I can’t help with — WebPI is really only responsible for delivering the payloads. If installs fail, I’d have to direct you to the support pages for that specific product. There isn’t a realistic way I could provide technical support for every possible installer WebPI delivers.

That said, there may be an install log created that you can crack open and see if there is a message you could post

Seems like the Windows Fabric install is gone bad as well. Basically the key issue is Downloaded file failed signature verification and may have been tampered with

Related to few of the sql related components. Is this something related to any incorrect links on Web PI.

A set of downloads were restored and I’ve re-enabled all the WebPI entries. That said, you should definitely validate all your scenarios. There may still be underlying issues that need to get worked out. Please post here if you are seeing anything and I’ll take a look

This is completely unrelated to the Workflow Manager/SB issue. Can you create a new post with your logs so we can keep the two issues seperate?

I did go and test this and I was able to install these without any issue on my Win10 client
