No, I’ve never heard it called that, but. I’m currently using an i7-875k (hyper-threaded) CPU and it shows that 4 of the processing cores are parked. I suspect that the tutorial is for people that don’t cause the laptop to use more power. The cores are parked Craig Chamberlin I changed mine from 64 to 0, rebooted and I see no difference.
