BSOD C000021a — windows logon process и кракозябры

Очередной BSOD (синий экран смерти) с ошибкой c000021a, windows logon process и кучей кракозябр.

Под кракозябрами, судя по всему имеется ввиду что-то похожее на это:

STOP: C000021a (Fatal system error) The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status off 0xc000034 (0×00000000 0×00000000)
The system has been shut down…

Загрузка в безопасном режиме — результат аналогичный.

Предварительно копать в сторону кодов после кракозябр. .. 0xc000034
Грузимся с LiveCD (загрузочного диска) и ищем файл winlogon.exe в каталоге %WINDIR%\System32\. Желательно заменить на оригинальный (искать в дистрибутиве) Иногда этого достаточно. (В моем случае файла Winlogon.exe вообще не было)
Желательно бы провериться на вирусы… — что же стало с оригинальным файлом?

Спасибо. Тоже столкнулся с ошибкой C000021a, правда все буквы в сообщении были кракозябрами.. кроме Windows Logon Process
Куда-то пропал winlogon.exe — скопировал с CD — вроде работает

Решения не нашлось. Проблема в силе.

Interactive logon process initialization has failed.

Recently my Win 7 (pro 64bit) computer does not start-up properly and stops with the following warning on a black screen:

«Interactive logon process initialization has failed.
Please consult the event log for more details.»

I have browsed the internet (for days now!) for solutions (including this site) but none will work. Most will not because I cannot get into the system at all to apply them. No Safe boot, no repair possible, cannot apply that hotfix (437977_intl_x64_zip.exe) and so on. Downloading the Apllication.evtx and viewing it on my Win10 laptop does not help me either; the failure refers to a GUID (??)

The only option seems to be a (clean?) (re)install. I’ve tried upgrading to Win10 from a USB-stick, because I have installed and activated (legitimate) Adobe programs on the win7 system. But I have to do that also from within the installed system.

It looks like a dead end to me.

So three questions if I may.

1. Is there anything I can do through the command prompt on the recovery disk to solve this issue? Replace files? Anything?
2. Would an upgrade to Win10 overcome the issue?
3. If not, how can I upgrade to Win10 from a USB stick ONLY? Or is a clean install required then?

I understand that the PC is not performing well and you are receiving error «Interactive logon process initialization has failed» and I will be happy to answer your query. Let me ask you;

• When exactly do you receive this error?
• Are you able to boot the PC to desktop?
• Do you repair disc of Windows 7?
• When was the last time it was working fine?
• Do you remember making any specific change in the PC prior to the issue?
• What is the make and model of the PC?
• Are you able to start the PC in safe mode?

We can try the following methods and check.

Method 1: Start the computer in Safe Mode and check if the issue persists. If the issue does not persist in safe mode, place the computer in clean boot state and check.

Step 1: Start the computer in Safe Mode

Safe mode is a troubleshooting option for Windows that starts your computer in a limited state. Only the basic files and drivers necessary to run Windows are started. The words Safe Mode appear in the corners of your monitor to identify which Windows mode you’re using.

Step 2: Place the computer in clean boot state to avoid any third party software conflict.

To help troubleshoot error messages and other issues, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This kind of startup is known as a «clean boot.» A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Placing your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. You need to follow the steps from the article mentioned below to perform a Clean Boot.

Note : Refer «How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting» to reset the computer to start as normal after troubleshooting.

Method 2: Perform System Restore using Windows 7 recovery CD to a point when it was working fine.

a. Boot from the Windows 7 Disc.

b. Once you get the welcome screen of installation with the option “ Install now ”

c. Click on Repair your computer

d. On the next page click on Advanced Options

e. Now click on Troubleshoot

f. Click on System Restore and follow the on screen instructions.

Important: When you use System Restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed after that date are removed.

It is a computer I made myself in 2009. All quality components and Win7 from the start. This system has been running without problems, untill the other day this error (above) occured.

To answer your questions:
+ I cannot boot to desktop, it stops prior.
+ I cannot start in safe mode, so cannot make a clean boot. Starting in safe mode the same error is reported prior to the safe desktop.
+ Repair does not want to work saying I made changes to the computer hardware which I did not.
+ I stopped making restore points a few years back when the system was running so well, so that is also not an option.
+ I have transferred Apllication.evtx and viewing it on my Win10 laptop does not help me either; the failure refers to a GUID (??).
+ I did have an image (created with Acronis) but this is on a hard drive that recenty failed because of «click of death».

So I am lost with options to try.Can you please adress the three questions I posted?

I would suggest you to check according to methods mentioned below:

Method 1:

Try booting your system in safe mode. In Safe mode, you have access to only basic files and drivers.

To start in safe mode, follow these steps:

Remove all floppy disks, CDs, and DVDs from your computer, and then restart your computer. Remove any extra hardware connected to your computer.

Click Start, click the arrow next to the Lock button, and then click Restart.

Press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts.

Note You have to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you must try to restart your computer. To do this, wait until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then shut down and restart your computer.

On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to select the Safe Mode option, and then press ENTER.

Log on to your computer by using a user account that has administrator rights.

Check if you are getting the same issue. If the problem continues after you start the computer in safe mode, the problem may occur for one or more of the following reasons:

There is a problem with underpowered or faulty hardware.

There is a problem with a driver that is installed.

There is a problem with an operating system component.

Method 2:

IF the problem still occurs, then create a new user profile in safe mode.
To create a new profile, you must first create a new user account. When the account is created, a profile will also be created:

1. Open User Accounts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking User Accounts and Family Safety, and then click User Accounts.
2. Click Manage another account. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3. Click Create a new account.
4. Type the name you want to give the user account, click an account type, and then click Create Account.

Method 3:

Do a startup repair:

1. Remove all floppy disks, CDs, and DVDs from your computer, and then restart your computer using the computer’s power button.

2. Do one of the following:

o If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then shutting down and restarting your computer.

o If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to highlight the operating system you want to repair, and then press and hold F8.

3. On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight Repair your computer , and then press Enter. (If Repair your computer isn’t listed as an option, then your computer doesn’t include preinstalled recovery options use the disc to do the repair as mentioned below, or your network administrator has turned them off.)

4. Select a keyboard layout, and then click Next .

5. On the System Recovery Options menu, click a tool to open it.

If your computer’s system is severely damaged and you cannot access the System Recovery Options menu on your computer, you can access it using the Windows 7 installation disc or a system repair disc you created earlier.

To use this method, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the disc.

1. Insert the disc.

2. Restart your computer using the computer’s power button.

3. If prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.

o If your computer isn’t configured to start from a CD or DVD, check the information that came with your computer. You may need to change your computer’s BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions .

4. Choose your language settings, and then click Next .

5. If you are using the Windows installation disc, click Repair your computer .

6. Select the Windows installation you want to repair, and then click Next .

7. On the System Recovery Options menu, click a tool to open it.

ошибка c000021a . windows logon process . 0xc0000006(0х00000000 0x00000000)

Win xp sp3. При включении копьютера выкидывает bsod с C000021a . windows logon process . 0xc0000006(0х00000000 0x00000000) вместо точек нечитаемые символы. Помогает рестарт.

Что можно сделать, как исправить?

Вспомните, какие были выполнены манипуляции до возникновения проблемы.

Проверьте в ветке реестра HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Имя Userinit должно содержать значение C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,

Причины возникновения ошибки c000021a

Появляется при завершении Winlogon.exe и ли Csrss.exe . Windows не может работать без этих процессов. Также c000021a появляется при неудачном запуске smss.exe.

Пошаговая инструкция

• Если в сообщении присутствует Windows Logon Process

1. Загружаемся с диска Windows PE или подключаем HDD к другому ПК

2. Стартуем regedit.exe

3. Щелкаем HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, выбираем Загрузить куст

4. На диске с нерабочей системой находим файл WINDOWS\system32\config\SOFTWARE .

5. Пишем имя раздела TEST

6. Находим раздел HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\TEST\Microsoft\Windows NT\Winlogon

7. Делаем параметр GinaDll равным msgina.dll. Если такого параметра нет, создавать его не надо .

8. Находим раздел HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\TEST\Microsoft\Windows NT\Winlogon\Notify

9. Смотрим, нет ли подозрительных Winlogon notification package .
Выгружаем куст
Перезагружаемся

• Если в сообщении присутствует Session manager initialization или запуска диспетчера сеанса

1. Загружаемся с диска Windows PE или подключаем HDD к другому ПК

2. Стартуем regedit.exe

3. Щелкаем HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, выбираем Загрузить куст

4. На диске с нерабочей системой находим файл WINDOWS\system32\config\SYSTEM .

5. Пишем имя раздела TEST

6. Находим раздел HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\TEST\nnnn\Control\Session Manager, где nnnn принимает значения CurrentControlSet, ControlSet001, ControlSet002 и т.д.

7. Делаем параметр BootExecute равным

После этой строки должен быть ENTER. Тип параметра REG_MULTI_SZ.

Удаляем параметр PendingFileRenameOperations.
Выгружаем куст
Перезагружаемся

Такую ошибку может вызывать:

— аппаратная неисправность — перегрев центрального процессора. При возникновении ошибки следует проверить температуру CPU и исправность системы его охлаждения.

— программа Vipnet, в таком случае необходимо удалить раздел реестра HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\winlogon.exe

Так же, следует проверить наличие самого файла %WINDIR%\system32\winlogon.exe, его отсутствие вызывает эту же ошибку, плюс невозможность зайти в безопасном режиме.

— вирус Win32:Nebuler-X. Обнаружен и вылечен антивирусом Avast в c:\windows\system32\winkpb32.dll и winmxw32.dll.

— запуск MPC HomeCinema версии 1.5.0.2827 (x86) на ноутбуке Acer Aspire 5520G с ОС Windows XP SP2; деинсталляция этой и установка более старой версии 1.3.1249.0 (x86) решила проблему.

— драйвер CryptoPro, в этом случае загрузить WinPE и переименовать файл c:\windows\system32\drivers\cproctrl.sys , после чего Windows должна загрузиться нормально. В Windows нужно конвертировать файловую систему диска C: в NTFS выполнив в командной строке convert c: /fs:ntfs . Далее можно переименовать драйвер CryptoPro к исходному имиени.

— нехватка свободного места на системном разделе.

— некорректная работа планки памяти («битая память», несовместимость с другими планками)
