Windows 8 и 8.1

Windows Vista и 7

Использование Ctrl + Alt + Delete для перезапуска

WIN 10 Power Button Functions Dissapeared

Two of our HP PC’s lost «Sleep», Restart» and «Power Off» functions on the Start/Power icon button. Both PC’s are less than two years old, were upgraded from WIN 7 PRO to WIN 10 PRO approx a year ago and one has a Xeon processor and one has i7 chip. Both can have these power options outside of the logon profile and both are on a domain network.

When the power icon is «pushed» it captions the following message: «There are currently no power options available». We have reverted to a previous update, rebooted and attempted repair options. Short or restoring the PC which will require re-installing all apps and programs is there another possible solution?

After upgrading from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro, the settings may have been disabled or reconfigured. Let’s bring them back by configuring the Power Options. This is applicable to any Windows version. To do this, follow the steps below:

Right-click the Start menu, then select Power Options.

Click Choose what the power buttons do on the left side pane.

Click Change settings that are currently unavailable, then under the Shutdown settings select the options you want to show.

Thank you for answering my problem; however, your solution does not work.
When you select «power options» a settings pane opens to Power & Sleep. The
left side has; «Display», Notifications & Actions», «power & sleep»,
Storage», «Tablet mode», «multitasking», «projecting this PC», Shared
experiences», and «about». In the «Control Panel»/Power options/systems
settings page there is a «Define power buttons and turn on password
protection» section that controls «When I press the power button (the
physical on button on the PC) and «When I press the sleep button».

As I said in my initial challenge — the «soft» power button on WIN 10 is gone
and displays «there are currently no power options available» when clicked. Any further
assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Did you run the upgrade advisor to find out if you system could run win 8?

It appears you had a BSOD. Can you boot normally? If so please follow these to find and upload the log files of the crash called DMP files.

We do need the actual DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

If you are overclocking stop. (chances are if you dont know if you are, you are not)

To enable us to assist you with your computer’s BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your «\Windows\Minidump» folder.

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the «paperclip» (file attachments) button.
*Please upload them to a file sharing service like Skydrive or»Rapidshare» and put a link to them in your reply.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings. button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

Please also run MSinfo32 and upload the output as well.

To run MSinfo32 please go to start>run>MSinfo32
Go to «file» «save» and upload the saved file with the DMPS

Force a shutdown and restart your Surface

If your Surface stops responding, or hangs, use the following methods to force a shutdown, and then restart.

Be aware, though, that whenever possible, you should shut down your Surface in the normal manner. See Surface power states for ways to do this normally.

If you have one of these Surface models, use this two-button shutdown process to make sure your device turns off completely:

If you have one of these Surface models, use this two-button shutdown process to make sure your device turns off completely:

Press and hold the power button on your Surface until the screen turns off (about 30 seconds), then release it.

Press and hold the volume-up button and the power button at the same time until the screen turns off (about 15 seconds), then release both.

The screen may flash the Surface logo, but continue holding the buttons down for at least 15 seconds.

After you release the buttons, wait 10 seconds.

Press and release the power button to turn your Surface back on. You should see the Surface logo.

If your Surface still won’t turn on

If these steps don’t resolve the problem, you can submit a service order to Microsoft. Go to Device Service and Repair, register, and then select your Surface to start a service order.
