При попытке залогиниться на компьютер пользователь может получить следующую ошибку: “The User Profile Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded.”.

Данная проблема может быть решена двумя способами.

Решение 1:

Теперь настройки безопасности директории Default установлены верно. Попробуйте залогиниться заново.

User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded.

Ok, to start off, I have a Windows 7 computer. I was just using my computer the other day, working fine. I turn it off, next morning turn it on, go to logon and see this message, «User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded.» I only have one account, thats my main administrator account. So I ran in safe mode, (only way to get in), I got into it, made a new user profile, but cant be the admin of course.
So I made the new account, and here I stand. Unable to do anything because Im not an admin. Yes the icon pops up, asking for a password, and when I do, I usually get an error message, or simply nothing happens.
I am so frustrated, as I need to get to work ASAP!
So my question is.

1. Can I fix my original profile? (Note: I cannot log in at all, unless in safe mode.)
2. Can I delete my old admin profile, and make the new one the admin. (Ive tried various ways but still nothing happens. )
3. Why would it cause this so suddenly?

Any comments/help is appreciated.

My name is Erika.

This issue might occur due to a corrupt user profile. Occasionally, Windows might not read your user profile correctly, such as if your antivirus software is scanning your computer while you try to log on.

What we can do is we can enable the built-in administrator account in safe mode and then login to that account to fix the corrupt administrator account. Follow the steps:

Step 1:

As you are already in safe mode, follow the steps to enable the built-in admin account:

a) Type cmd in the search box within Start screen and right click on the Command Prompt.

b) Select Run as administrator.

c) Type the following command to enable built-in admin account:

net user administrator /active: yes

Close Command prompt and select Continue to Windows.

Note: Please follow the same steps and type net user administrator /active: no to disable admin account after the troubleshooting is done.

Proceed to the next step.

Step 2:

Restart the computer and login to the Administrator (built-in) account. After you are logged in, refer to the link and follow the steps from it:

Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article number to view the article in the following link:

Back up the registry

Check if that fixes the issue.

Please let us know about the results.

Just had a computer come in with same issue.

Start in safe mode with command prompt.

At command prompt that comes up, type:

System Restore will start, if system restore was turned on you should have up to 3 months/90 days of restore points to choose from.

Choose a restore point that will take you back to before this happened, I always choose a point at least a month prior.

Let restore do it’s thing.

It should come back to life for you.

At that point, I go into System Protection, and turn off System Restore on the Root Directory (OS (C:)) to clear ALL restore points. Then turn it back on, and create a new restore point. Then check for MS Updates. Watch all updates, Recommended and Optional. One of these updates could have caused this.

Also, I just noticed that this unit has AVG Anti-Virus. This may also be the culprit. Presently, AVG has 4 and I say FOUR Rouges floating around out there. They will damage your system irreparably, and you would need to do an External System Backup, and re-install your OS.

Have the computer completely powered down. Unplug, and take the battery out. Open the computer and press the «Power» button for 10 full seconds,(NO POWER). Plug in the computer (don’t put in the battery). Then I usually start tapping the F8 key as I press the power button to turn the computer on. I never wait for the Mfr splash screen to come up before pressing the key. If the «Fast Boot» is enabled in the Bios, it will never bring up the Safe Mode choices if I wait to start tapping the F8.

If it still won’t let you enter the Safe Mode Choice screen, then press and hold down the power button to shut completely down, and then try to power back on again tapping the F8 key. This shut down procedure, is known for being hard on the hard drive, but is unavoidable. After several attempts and failures, the Safe Mode Choice Screen should come up automatically.

If this fails, then I suggest that the hard drive be removed and connected to another computer as an external. The computer may come up (before autoplay) and indicate the hard drive needs to be scanned. Then choose Scan and Fix. That may help you get into Safe Mode. Sometimes I have seen the result after «Scan and Fix», where it could not be «Fixed». Indicative, of either an Imminent Hard Drive Failure, or the need to Re-Install the OS. Your option then, would be to get all your documents, files, music, and pictures copied from the hard drive while it is already connected to the other computer, then you know that you have saved what you can in the case that you have a complete HDD failure, or have to reinstall.

Question

I’ve installed SQL Server 2016 on Win 10 laptop for testing and development use. After restarting the pc the sql services do not restart. They have a login failure, and if if delete the password for each service, the password is repopulated automatically and then I can start the service.

The user name of the SQL Server service is «NT Service\MSSQLSERVER»

Any thoughts on how to make these passwords stay?

Answers

NT Service\MSSQLSERVER is a built in system account. you can not set or reset the password for it.

create a user account with admin permissions on your laptop then you can use this account to start your service.

Hope this will fix your issue.

understand the sql database server local logins-they comes by default when the setup runs and there is no password that we can get it,this is by design & that account plays some functionalities-

The following table lists examples of virtual account names.

NT SERVICE\MSSQLSERVER

if you needed you can use the local system-try it.

start->services.msc->select your sql instance(default(or) named instance ->the perform as above.

you can also do from sql server configuration manager-

Also can you do one thing-

They have a login failure, and if if delete the password for each service, the password is repopulated automatically and then I can start the service.

>>Just remove the password and leave it to blank then click OK & see -is that works for you?.

The issue is not with the passwords as these accounts are «virtual accounts» and do not have user settable passwords.

Have you checked whether the services are set to automatically start or are they manual start? If they are manual then they will not start automatically on a restart.

If the virtual accounts are having a login failure then you have something odd in your configuration. Where are you seeing the login failure? Can you post more information around this to identify which account and what reason for the login failure (you may also need to check the Windows Security and Application logs for more info).

There may be some issues with Security Rights assignments but without the specifics it is hard to tell

I’ve now set this to run under some domain accounts that some other sql servers are using, as it seems too hard to stick with these «virtual accounts»

this was the error when using «virtual accounts»

This service account does not have the required user right «Log on as a service.»

Assign «Log on as a service» to the service account on this computer. You can use Local Security Settings (Secpol.msc) to do this. If this computer is a node in a cluster, check that this user right is assigned to the Cluster service account on all nodes in the cluster.

If you have already assigned this user right to the service account, and the user right appears to be removed, check with your domain administrator to find out if a Group Policy object associated with this node might be removing the right.
