Добрый день! Уважаемые читатели и гости крупнейшего IT блога России pyatilistnik.org. В сегодняшней заметке, хочу описать ситуацию со стареньким оборудованием Dell PowerEdge 1950. Есть сервер на котором установлена FreeBSD. Была необходимость выполнить сервисное обслуживание операционной системы. Был выключен Dell PowerEdge 1950. Далее после включения, сервер не обнаружил один из виртуальных массивов, после чего выдавал сообщение system halted и не давал далее загружаться. Вот такая вот ситуация, давайте я расскажу, как удалось его воскресить.

Проблема с RAID контроллером PERC 6/i

В моей организации идет процесс вывода из строя старого оборудования, которое много тратит электроэнергии, а толку дает мало. Одним из таких серверов был Dell PowerEdge 1950. Моему коллеги нужно было выполнить на нем работы и перезагрузить его. После перезагрузки выскочили вот такие предупреждения:

Обратите внимание, что сервер Dell не видит один из виртуальный дисков VDs, за номером 2, я выделил это стрелкой.

Далее видно, что найдены 3 Virtual Drive и происходит попытка загрузки сетевой настройки IDRAC, а после него формулировка:

После чего сервер так висит долгое время, загрузка с дисков или загрузка BIOS не осуществляется.

Как решается проблема

ИЗ информации описанной выше мы видим две проблемы:

• На RAID контроллере PERC 6/i у нас не видится один из виртуальных дисков
• Проблема с батарейкой RAID контроллера.

Если в момент загрузки нажать CTRL+R, то вы попадете в RAID утилиту. Зайдя в пункт «PD Mgmt», мы видим 3 диска ,вместо 4, диск под номером 02 не обнаружен.

В системе он вообще не виделся, и RAID контроллер на него не ругался, просто как будто нет. SMART показатели других дисков были в порядке. Я присмотрелся к индикации HDD на сервере и обнаружил, что один из них моргал, это был как раз 02-ой.

У меня был выведенный брат близнец этого сервера, и я решил поменять диски с проблемного диска, вставив их в другой выключенный сервер, с таким же RAID контроллером

После включения нового сервера с дисками от старого у меня обнаружилась старая конфигурация всех 4-х массивов.

Тут важный момент, новый RAID контроллер нашел конфигурацию, о старых виртуальных массивах (Virtual Drives), которую предлагает себе импортировать, соглашаемся и нажимаем кнопку «F»

После чего система стала загружаться и я больше не увидел сообщения «system halted». В очередной раз убедился, что всегда нужно иметь все про запас, это хорошо, что сервис сам продублирован и еще не успели убрать на склад старый сервер, который пригодился так кстати.

I need help with the problem described above.

The on screen message says «Hardware Malfunction, System Halted and Contact you Hardward Manufactured/Vendor. «

I have been trying out many types of diagnostics referring to the web as well as here and am not convinced still. Below are some of my findings:

— Hard Drive swapped and tested so should not be hard drive

— RAM tested and reseated so I doubt too it is them e RAM.

— Did also CLEAN BOOT and it still occurs

— Reinstalled Windows with no help.

— I ran Graphic Stability tests too

— BUT one thing very «SIGNIFICANT» is that whenever I play Youtube videos, it goes «crazy» and freezes. It seems OK when I play videos with Windows Media Player though.

Anyway, my system is Compaq PresarioCQ20 with 4G RAM, Hitachi Hard Drive, Intel 4 Series Chipset Graphics, 32 bit system. I can provide more system hardware info if needed.

Oh by the way, in doing all the troubleshootings, I saw a couple of Blue Screen with Minidump collected and error seems to point to DXGJRNL.SYS.

So in any case, I just would like to ask anyone here if this has already become quite evident that the Graphic is «dying» soon or if there is something else that I have not tried out,

Any suggestions/recommendations would be much appreciated.

Please provide a copy of your System Information file. Type System Information in the Search Box above the start Button and press the ENTER key. Select File, Export and give the file a name noting where it is located. The system creates a new System Information file each time system information is accessed. You need to allow a minute or two for the file to be fully populated before exporting a copy. Please upload to your Sky Drive, share with everyone and post a link here. Please say if the report has been obtained in safe mode.

Please upload and share with everyone copies of your System and Application logs from your Event Viewer to your Sky Drive and post a link here.

To access the System log select Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer, from the list in the left side of the window select Windows Logs and System. Place the cursor on System, select Action from the Menu and Save All Events as (the default evtx file type) and give the file a name. Do the same for the Applications log. Do not provide filtered files.

Since you re-installed Windows it is a hardware issue, almost a 100%,, though there is a tiny
chance that it could be BIOS, low level chipset drivers, or even another low loading driver (such

Check with Compaq Support, their on-line documentation and drivers, diagnostics, and ask
in their forums about any known issue. Or check with a real computer shop (one that does
its own in-shop service on Compaq laptops).

Remove ALL power and reseat the memory. Clean out the dust bunnies on the vents and
ensure the fans are working. Try using a small fan to provide extra airflow.

Unfortunately you can’t fix hardware with software.

Had to have Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Licensed installed on IBM Blade Center Server, while in use the blue screen appeared with this message.

• *** Hardware Malfunction
• call your hardware vendor for support
• *** The system has halted***

As repeatedly blue screen appears and the system goes to halt state.

Please note this points.

1. I have Symatec Endpoint Server Antivirus Installed with Automatic update enabled

2. I have not added or installed any new hardware or software

3. No any new changes made in the server

Please let me know the exact solution.

Am I correct in assuming that if you didn’t install the license on the server, you has no the blue screen issues?

Did you see any error codes when the blue screen appeared?

You could closed the Symatec software manually on your server and try again if you could enter the safe mode by pressing F8 when reboot.

Все до этого идеально работало года 2-3 переодически чистил от пыли

На 120 гиговом стоит W7 проблемы идут
На 1Тб разделен и на части 20гб стоит WinXp SP3 , c отключением 120 гигового и загрузка с 1тб проблема таже
проверял на битые сектора все чисто
Значит как я понял проблема не в жестких

Оперативка пробовал со всеми планками в разных слотах по 4 по 3 по 2 планки дольше стоит с 2 гигами но всеравно синий экран
Тестил memtest86+ ничего не выявил и memtest какойто из под винды ошибок не найдено

Биос сбрасывал батарейку сбрасывал биос прошивал тойже последней прошивкой — синий экран как всегда

Незнаю даже на чо думать толи мать отмирает толи процессор
бывает день стоит даже с 4 гигами оперативы а на следующий день опять за старое

Что значит Chassis intruded! Fatal Error… System Halted?

На некоторых материнских платах, в настройках BIOS которых есть опция, отвечающая за отслеживание вскрытия корпуса системного блока при включении может появляться сообщение Chassis intruded! Fatal Error… System Halted или Case open detected. При этом загрузка операционной системы может начинаться после нажатия кнопки F1 или не начинаться вообще.

В данной статье мы расскажем что значит Fatal error system halted при включении компьютера и как это сообщение убрать.

Что такое Fatal error system halted?

Данное сообщение появляется если на материнской плате есть опция отслеживания физического вскрытия корпуса и она активирована в настройках.

При появлении Fatal error system halted прежде всего проверьте плотно ли закрыты боковые крышки системного блока и закручены ли болты.

Если корпус закрыт плотно либо вы хотите работать с открытым корпусом и убрать фразу Fatal error system halted при включении, то нужно войти в BIOS и отключить опцию с названиями Chassis Intrusion, Case Open Warning или Intruder Detection, Reset Case open status, переведя ее в положение Disabled.

Отключение опции, отвечающей за отслеживание состояния вскрытия корпуса

Если же выше описанная опция BIOS, отвечающая за работу датчика открытия корпуса отключена, а сообщение Fatal error system halted появляется все равно, или вы просто не можете войти в BIOS, то тогда нужно поискать на материнской плате переключатель CHASSIS, который активируется перестановкой перемычки и отключает отслеживание вскрытия корпуса.

Перемычка, отвечающая за состояние опции отслеживая вскрытия корпуса

В самом крайнем случае, если ничего не выходит попробуйте вытащить батарейку BIOS на 5 минут, затем вставьте ее, плотно закрутив корпус с обеих сторон и включите компьютер. Ошибка Chassis intruded! Fatal Error… System Halted должна пропасть.

Известны случаи, когда ошибка Chassis intruded! Fatal Error… System Halted появлялась из-за того, что материнская плата не была прикручена всеми болтами к корпусу. Установка недостающих болтов убирала сообщение Chassis intruded! Fatal Error… System Halted.
