MCT — Официальные темы Windows 7 (распространялись по каналу VLSC в ISO-образе).
Для установки MCT тем — достаточно их скопировать в папку:

deskthemepack — Официальные темы Windows 8.1 и выше.
themepack — Официальные темы для Windows 7 и выше.

Также, в комплекте имеется программа DeskthemepackInstaller для установки тем в формате deskthemepack на Windows 7 (использование данной программы только на свой страх и риск , работа всех тем не гарантирована в формате deskthemepack на Windows 7).

Unlock hidden Windows 10 Themes

Some themes you can unlock yourself! The Windows 7 beta has some hidden & locked themes that were created for countries all over the world (Australia, Canada, Great Britain, United States and South Africa).

Actually it’s pretty easy to unlock them.

1. Step Simply open the Explorer (Windows + E) and goto C:\Windows\winsxs

2. Enter *.theme into the search field. If you have problems to type *, use the * sign on the number block.

3. Step Now it should look like this: Click me!

4. Step Double-click the themes ZA, US, GB, CA, AU to install them.

5. Step Voilà, you have unlocked 5 cool themes.

Well first of you have to know that Windows 7 has a new file extensions called “.themepack”. If you save your theme (Right-click on your desktop and select “Personalize”) you have to make sure to select this from the the dropdown or it will not bundle the wallpapers and other people won’t be able to install it properly.

1. Step Right-click on your desktop and select “Personalize”

2. Step Select “save theme”:

3. Step Save Theme As “*.themepack” (IMPORTANT)

A themepack has a different icon so you will be able to recognize them easily!

Yea I wonder if there is a good site that offers free sound files out there. For vista there is a nice little tool from stardock that is pretty cool, dunno if it works in Win7

The themes work, need more space type and beach island types. Add sounds, very nice on Windows 7, expect brown ones not my taste.

Unfortuantely the desktop backgrounds are missing in the themes contained in the zip file under “9 stylish Windows 7 Themes”…

How do u install the themes after u have downloaded the zip file!!

Oh I thought that’s obvious. Just double-click it.

Well I did that but its asks for a program to open the file and I don’t know which program to use to open the theme file

Redownload the zip if you are trying to use the themes I created. I have done a little mistake, sorry for that.

I downloaded “22 fresh free filigree Windows 7 Themes”
I am just having hard time opening the theme pack file of the themes
It asks for a program to open the “theme pack” file and I don’t know which program is it!!

Well normally it would automatically install the theme and apply it. Let me check this myself. Did you try another theme of that package?

Well I tried the Aluminium and the Apple theme.
Both are working fine for me. Maybe a bug?
Which build are you using? Build 7000?

Is it perhaps I am using Windows Vista Home Edition that these themes don’t work!!
