I’m using it for quite a while now. It’s a great player with the necessary things. There are many skins and visuals if needed. Nice sounding, greatly customizable.

Just setup new PC, and for some reason decided to see if there was a newer XMPLAY version than the one from 2014.

And there actually is one. Unbelievable!

XMPlay — удобный и простой аудиоплеер, который поддерживает различные форматы мультимедийных файлов: WMA, MP3, WAV, CDA, AIFF, MP1, MP2. Также, программа работает с плейлистами следующих форматов: M3U, WAX, CUE, PLS, ASX. Одна из особенностей утилиты — пользователи могут добавить архив с песнями для воспроизведения — для этого не требуется предварительная распаковка содержимого на компьютер.

Если есть форматы, которые программа XMPlay не может воспроизвести — например, музыкальная композиция или плейлист, — то функционал софта можно расширить с помощью дополнительных плагинов.

Поддерживается функция создания списков воспроизведения; есть встроенный 9-уровневый эквалайзер. При воспроизведении музыкальной композиции, пользователи могут посмотреть подробную информацию о файле: каналы, битрейт, размер, название, текущее месторасположение.

Загрузить программу можно бесплатно. Установка не требуется — достаточно просто распаковать архив с утилитой. Язык интерфейса — английский, русская версия не поддерживается.

Как пользоваться программой XMPlay?

После запуска аудиоплеера XMPlay откроется окно «Options and stuff». Здесь можно выполнить первоначальные настройки программы.

Рассмотрим основные разделы, которые потребуются любому пользователю:

• Appearance. Здесь выполняются базовые настройки интерфейса. Во-первых, можно изменить оформление интерфейса аудиоплеера. В комплекте с программой нет скинов — их нужно загружать со сторонних сайтов в интернете.

Ниже расположены параметры окна — пользователи могут установить различные лимиты, изменить размер текста, выбрать тип отображения времени, включить или отключить эффекты.

• Playlist. Этот раздел в настройках утилиты используется для изменения параметров плейлистов. Например, можно отключить или включить функцию верификации контента при добавлении новых композиций в треклист. Доступна опция автоматического отключения воспроизведения, когда закончится список музыки.
• Integration. Здесь отображается список всех поддерживаемых форматов музыкальных композиций и плейлистов. При необходимости, пользователи могут изменить иконку программы; можно активировать опцию, чтобы все расширения для утилиты загружались через браузер Internet Explorer. Также здесь выполняются настройки контекстного меню.
• Shortcutcs. В этом разделе можно посмотреть или изменить горячие клавиши для быстрого управления утилитой. Например, shift+P — воспроизведение треков, shift+Pause — остановка.

После выполнения базовых настроек, откроется аудиоплеер XMPlay. В правом окне находится плейлист — здесь отображается список композиций, которые находятся в очереди воспроизведения. Чтобы добавить песни, нажмите на иконку плюса.

Кнопка «Queue» активирует режим воспроизведения треков в порядке очереди. Созданный плейлист можно сохранить в отдельном файле на компьютере, чтобы иметь возможность воспроизвести «сборник композиций» в другое время, или на другом компьютере.

По центру расположены инструменты для управления воспроизведением: старт, стоп, быстрое переключение музыкальной композиции, изменение уровня громкости. В верхней части окна расположена иконка гаечного ключа — это настройки программы XMPlay.

Слева расположен эквалайзер. Здесь пользователи могут настроить качество воспроизведения музыки: изменить уровень басов, отрегулировать низкие и высокие частоты, приглушить шумы. Выбранные параметры можно сохранить на компьютере — для этого следует нажать на иконку дискеты.
